Vanier Family Donation

On Monday, March 2nd, employees of the Biosecurity Research Institute gathered together along with K-State President Kirk Schulz and Vice Provost Karen Berg to show their appreciation to the Vanier family for their generous donation to the Institute. This donation will provide for faculty professorships and fellowships, graduate fellowships, excellence funds and research fellowship. The excellence funds "provide flexible funding to allow university leaders to respond to urgent needs and emerging opportunities." (Foundation, 2014) Additionally, a research fellows program will be established at the Biosecurity Research Institute.

Representing the Vanier family were Marty Vanier and Bob Krause.
