African Swine Fever Symposium

The Biosecurity Research Institute was pleased host an international African Swine Fever Symposium on May 15-17, 2012. This symposium furthers our goals of fostering collaboration among local, national, and international scientists while simultaneously encouraging further research on animal infectious diseases. We recognize the importance of focusing scientific resources in this country on foreign animal diseases such as African swine fever so that we can be proactive in preparing for the possibility of one day finding this disease on our continent.
